Privacy
This policy explains what information the site may process, which third-party technologies we use or plan to use, and how you can contact us.
China in Figures (“we”, “the site”) is published at https://chinainfigures.com. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
The public pages are primarily static information pages. We do not require an account to read indicators, city profiles or methodology pages.
If you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address in order to respond. We do not sell contact lists.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosts and CDNs, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address, user agent, request URL and approximate location for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used in a privacy-oriented configuration to understand aggregate traffic. See Cloudflare’s documentation for details of that product.
Essential operation of static pages may not require first-party advertising cookies. Browser storage may still be used by embedded charting libraries for ordinary rendering behaviour.
If we enable Google AdSense or similar advertising, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, limit ad frequency and, where allowed, personalise ads. You can learn more in Google’s advertising and privacy resources, including https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google Analytics 4 is enabled on this site to help us understand how pages are used. Google may process analytics cookies or similar identifiers and related usage data for measurement and reporting; we use the resulting reports in aggregate to improve navigation, content and site performance.
We intend to apply for Google AdSense to support the project. Until ads are live, no AdSense ad cookies are served by this site for that purpose.
After approval, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this or other websites. Users may opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and industry tools where available.
Because the site is available globally, technical processing may occur in different regions depending on hosting and vendor infrastructure. Where applicable law requires consent or additional controls for analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide those controls and keep this policy aligned with the live implementation.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking analytics cookies or similar identifiers may reduce measurement; advertising controls will also apply if AdSense is enabled later.
For questions, corrections about personal data sent by email, or privacy requests, contact [email protected].
We may update this policy as the site’s technologies change. The “Updated” date in the site footer reflects the latest site-wide revision stamp; material privacy changes will also be reflected in this page’s wording.
