Reporter economies

Customs territories are separate and re-exports affect rankings

Hong Kong SAR is a separate reporter and its exports include substantial re-exports. Rankings measure gross exports, not local production or domestic value added.

Price basis

Current US dollars are not an export-volume index

Long-run value changes combine quantities, prices and exchange rates and cannot be read directly as changes in real trade volume.
